Youth Capacity building training

August 15th to 17th, 2015, the Roshni Social Action Centre and Loyola Vikas Kendra organized an ISI youth Capacity building training at  Nalkara Cross De-addiction Centre building Hall. The three-day programme was designed to guide and empower young people. A total of 43 youths participated with great interest and enthusiasm. The sessions focused on helping them understand both the strengths and weaknesses of youth. Through group activities and discussions, the participants realized the importance of channeling their energy in a positive way. The training concluded with a call to use their talents and abilities for personal growth and the betterment of society.

Aids and Appliances Distribution

On 06/08/2025, an Aids and Appliances Distribution and Parents’ Capacity Building Program was organized. Gifts were distributed to 25 children, and aids and appliances were provided to 8 children. The Planning Officer of the Taluk Panchayat, the Treasury Officer of Shiggaon, and the Taluka MRW were present for the program.

Kabaddi Tournament 

On August 3rd, 2025 the Roshni Social Action Centre organized a Kabaddi tournament for unorganized youth. The event was held at the Roshni School campus and saw the participation of 120 young people. Sr. Anitha, the Director of Roshni, presided over the programme, encouraging and motivating the participants.

Friendship Day


On 2nd August 2025, the Dyamankoppa Children’s Panchayat celebrated Friendship Day by cleaning the Community Hall and spreading awareness about cleanliness among the people.

Environment Day at Malagunda

On 31st July 2025, the School Parliament, along with the students, celebrated Environment Day at Malagunda by highlighting the importance of the environment and distributing plants to the children.

Progressive Organization Meeting

On 28/07/2025, members of various progressive organizations of Hangal Taluk discussed issues concerning the staff of the Primary Health Centre, as well as problems faced by Anganwadi centres and primary schools.

Conceptual training for women’s self-help groups

On 28/6/2025 under the guidance of the Roshni Social Service Organization, members of the newly formed women’s self-help groups from Aaladakatti, Shivapura, Karagudari, Hanagal, and Mantagi villages were given training on the concept of self-help groups. They were also informed about saving practices, the benefits of savings groups, and the role of women.
