Youth Cultural program

On October 26, 2025 organized youth cultural program was organized at the Roshni center Sr Anitha Presided over the event a Youth Cultural Program Was Oranged With 120 Members participated.

Celebration of Festival of Light 


The Festival of Light was celebrated at Roshni De-addiction Centre, Nalkar Cross. This interreligious programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guests: Fr. Jaison Pais SJ, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Lawrence Church, Hangal; Shri Sharanabasava Mahaswami of Shivayoga Mandir; Shri Sadashiva Ashram, Hanavala; and Sri D.N. Kolkar, Advocate, Hangal.
We celebrated this festival together with the families and staff of Roshni. The importance of relationships and togetherness was highlighted during the celebration.

Nutrition Day and Diwali


On 17.10.2025, Nutrition Day and Diwali were celebrated at the center as Vatsalya Shishupalana. The program provided information to the children about the role of parents. The coordinator of the field of child rights, Mrs. Nirmala Madiwala, participated as a resource person and 25 parents participated and made the program a success.

Tailoring Certificate distribution Program


Women and young women who were deprived of education were identified and young women who completed six months of sewing training were honored with digital certificates. 18 young women have received certificates and are ready to become self-employed. 

Training of the Federation Members


Lineta D’Souza, founder of Diksha institute in Dharwad, trained the members of the Adarsh Taluk Women’s Union through activities on strengthening the union, the importance of the organization, what the organization’s goals and objectives should be, leadership, and the responsibilities of the members of the union as leaders. 

Picnic for the Women’s Self-Help Association

30 members of the Women’s Self-Help Association of Bommanahalli, Ajagundikoppa and Hirekanagi villages went on a tour and visited the Sirsi Marikamba Temple, Jog Falls and Sigandur areas and learned about historical information.

Youth Capacity building training

August 15th to 17th, 2015, the Roshni Social Action Centre and Loyola Vikas Kendra organized an ISI youth Capacity building training at  Nalkara Cross De-addiction Centre building Hall. The three-day programme was designed to guide and empower young people. A total of 43 youths participated with great interest and enthusiasm. The sessions focused on helping them understand both the strengths and weaknesses of youth. Through group activities and discussions, the participants realized the importance of channeling their energy in a positive way. The training concluded with a call to use their talents and abilities for personal growth and the betterment of society.

Independence Day


Independence Day was celebrated with the children at the childcare center on 15th August 2025. Police officers Mrs. Pallavi and parents participated in the program.

Aids and Appliances Distribution

On 06/08/2025, an Aids and Appliances Distribution and Parents’ Capacity Building Program was organized. Gifts were distributed to 25 children, and aids and appliances were provided to 8 children. The Planning Officer of the Taluk Panchayat, the Treasury Officer of Shiggaon, and the Taluka MRW were present for the program.

Kabaddi Tournament 

On August 3rd, 2025 the Roshni Social Action Centre organized a Kabaddi tournament for unorganized youth. The event was held at the Roshni School campus and saw the participation of 120 young people. Sr. Anitha, the Director of Roshni, presided over the programme, encouraging and motivating the participants.
