On 01/05/2025, Construction Workers’ Day was held in Sanvasagi village. The program was organized under the auspices of the Roshni Trust and the NREGA Workers’ Union. Renuka Ajagundi, President of the Grama Panchayat, participated in the event. The meeting was attended by Janavedike leaders and VDC members.
Staff training
A staff training session on Finance Management was held for all Roshni Trust staff, led by Mr. Sendil Kumar. He focused on teaching effective family finance management, particularly emphasizing the importance of saving. The training provided practical tips on budgeting, managing expenses, and ensuring long-term financial stability for families.




Health Camp at Roshani Addiction Mukti Kendra
A free health camp was organized by Roshani Social Service Organization, in collaboration with Hanagal Arogya Raksha Samithi, Taluk Hospital Hanagal, and Father Mullers Medical College Hospital Mangalore. Held at Roshani Addiction Mukti Kendra, the camp offered check-ups for bone, joint, eye, and other common ailments. A total of 190 participants were treated, with 35 people undergoing eye surgery, 13 selected for bone and joint surgery, and many others receiving treatment for general health concerns. Sister Anita D’Souza, Director of Roshani Social Service Organization, oversaw the event, which was supported by dedicated staff and volunteers.




Social Workers’ Day Celebration
Social Workers’ Day was celebrated with an outing to Shivamogga Zoo and Sakrebylu, where the staff enjoyed a day of relaxation and bonding. The trip provided an opportunity for the staff to explore the zoo, learn about wildlife, and enjoy the natural beauty of Sakrebylu. It was a wonderful way to foster team spirit and appreciation for the work they do.

Fight Against Illegal Liquor Sales, Gambling, and OC Games
On 7th March 2025, a march was organized in Aregoppa village, Hanagaltaluk, by a progressive organization and the Aregoppa Village Development Committee to raise awareness and demand action against illegal liquor sales, gambling, and OC games. The march led to a meeting with local officials, urging them to take necessary measures to address these issues and ensure community safety.


Fire Camp at Roshni Rehabilitation Centre
Inmates of the Roshni Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts participated in a vibrant fire camp celebration. The event included festive activities, lively dance performances, and delicious food, fostering a sense of community and celebration among the participants as they came together to enjoy the warmth and camaraderie.



Youth Training
A 4-day capacity-building training program for young men and women was held, focusing on constitutional values, fundamental duties and rights, and social security schemes. The training also educated youth about government facilities and the importance of their role in the community. This initiative aimed at empowering youth with knowledge that is crucial for their personal and societal development.



Birthday Celebration of Ku. Ahalya
Aids and Appliances Distribution
On 5th February 2025, a distribution program was organized for 11 children in need of aids and appliances. Additionally, nutritious food was distributed to 35 children to ensure their health and well-being. The program aimed to support the differently-abled children and provide them with necessary resources for daily living.


Tailoring Training Center Inauguration
A new sewing training center was inaugurated in Maharajpet village, aimed at empowering young women and school dropouts between the ages of 18 and 35. The center, set up after a survey of interested women, offers free training on tailoring and provides necessary materials like scissors, threads, and fabrics. Upon completion, participants are awarded a digital certificate. This initiative is designed to help women achieve financial independence and build their skills for self-reliance.
