Job Fair


To create employment opportunities for unemployed women and young girls in Hangal Taluk, Roshni Trust, Hangal, in collaboration with Bangalore-based Sai Garments, organized a Job Fair. A total of 308 young girls and women participated in the program. The participants were introduced to garment-related work and informed about various employment opportunities available in the garment industry, helping them understand skill-based employment options and encouraging economic independence.

World Disability Day, Parent Capacity Building, Sensitization, and Nutrition Food Distribution


A program marking World Disability Day, along with parent capacity building, sensitization, and nutrition food distribution, was conducted on 11/12/2025 at the De-Addiction Center, 4th Cross, Hangal. A total of 208 participants, including parents, VRWs, MRWs, students, the general public, and 70 children, took part. Resource persons shared information about institutional activities, social security schemes, and the importance of regular attendance and proper utilization of nutrition food. Nutrition food was distributed to all 70 children, while awareness about disability and available support services was also provided.

Champions Mothers Training at Taluka Panchayat, Shiggaon


The Champions Mothers Training and case review session was held at Taluka Panchayat, Shiggaon on 18 and 19 November 2025. During the training, information was provided on child development, focusing on the various developmental stages and the changes that occur at different age levels. Participants were guided on how to identify developmental milestones and recognize delays in growth and development. Additionally, awareness on Autism was provided, including early signs, symptoms, and methods of identification.

Children day celebration at Shiggoan EI and EE Centre


Children’s Day was celebrated along with differently-abled children. The Chief Guest for the programme was Mr. Siddappa Masali, MRW. The Coordinator and all the EI and EE staff of Roshni Social Action Centre were also present. Awareness on social security schemes was provided, along with information on child growth and development. The significance of Children’s Day was also explained during the programme.

Childrens Day Celebration


On 16.11.2025, Children’s Day was celebrated at Roshni School under the guidance of the Roshni Social Action Centre. A total of 250 Children’s Parliament representatives from various villages—Kallapur, Yatnalli, Samavasagi, Gundur, Shadaguppi, Aladakatti, Dyamanakoppa, Hunasikatti, Ratnapur, and Balambid—participated in the programme. Various cultural activities were organized, and the winners were awarded prizes and appreciated for their performances.

Children’s Day at Child Care


Children’s Day was celebrated at Vatsalya Shishupan Kendra, a singing competition and a fancy dress competition were organized for the children. The judges of the program were Kallappa Nayak, the coordinator of the community organization, and Kumari Jyoti Malpur, a teacher. The program was presided over by Kallappa Nayak, and the chief guests were GT Betiger Police Officers, Women’s Police Station, Haveri. Nimma Pustaka Namma Jolige


On 07.11.2025, under the guidance of Roshni Organization and the Government Higher Primary School, Sanavasagi, the programme titled “Nimma Pustaka Namma Jolige” was conducted in Sanavasagi village. As part of this initiative, door-to-door visits were made and a total of 504 books were collected. Out of these, 143 books were donated to the library. The programme also helped create awareness among the community about the importance of reading and books.

Constitution Reading Week programme


Constitution Reading Week programme was organized for the School Parliament children of Malagund School. As part of the programme, a test on the Indian Constitution was conducted, and prizes were awarded to the winners. Geetanjali Talawar, the leader of Janavedike, participated in this programme.

Inauguration  of the Tailoring training Centre inauguration 


Due to untimely rains, people in rural areas are migrating without getting their wages on time. Keeping this in mind, Roshni Trust has started a sewing training center in Ajagundikoppa village of Hanagal taluk and is providing sewing training to women and young girls, motivating them to go into garments and encouraging them to become self-employed.

Senior citizen day 


Senior Citizens’ Day was celebrated in Hanumapura village of Hanagal taluk to create awareness among the people about the importance of respecting the role of senior citizens in the community and the responsibilities of the community. 30 senior citizens were honored by distributing nutritious food kits.
