Skill development programmes in tailoring, jewellery making, snacks preparation, retail management, textile business, and vegetable business were organized for 152 women. The training combined practical skill development with entrepreneurship, financial management, and marketing to promote sustainable livelihoods.
Parents’ Orientation Programme for Children with Disabilities
A Parents’ Orientation Programme was conducted with 58 participants. Sr. Anita D’Souza, Mr. Siddappa Masali (MRW, Shiggaon), and Mr. Prakash Awandkar, Assistant Director, Taluka Panchayat, Shiggaon, served as resource persons and educated parents on early intervention, regular therapy, home-based care, and government welfare schemes for children with disabilities.

Women’s Federation Meeting and Environmental Awareness
Roshni Trust organized the Adarsh Taluk Women’s Federation Meeting with 33 women participants. Mr. Manjunath Kudri served as the resource person, Mrs. Shaila Havanagi chaired the programme, and Mr. Somalappa Lamani attended as the chief guest. Sr. Anita D’Souza, Director of Roshni Trust, encouraged women to strengthen community leadership and participation.
On the same day, an Environmental Awareness Programme was inaugurated by Mr. Ganesh Shettar, Forest Department, benefiting 37 participants by promoting environmental conservation and sustainable practices.

A Goat Rearing Training Programme was conducted for 42 beneficiaries. Dr. Kammar, Retired Deputy Director, Department of Animal Husbandry, served as the resource person and provided practical training on scientific goat rearing, animal health, and improved management practices to promote sustainable livelihoods.
Janavedike Leaders’ Training
Training of Leaders on Health
On 23/03/2026, a training program for leaders was organized under “Our Health and Our Rights” at Roshni Social Service Institute, Hangal, in collaboration with Janavedike and Progressive Organization. A total of 59 participants attended. Resource persons included Progressive Organization President Shri NM Pujar, Sister Anita D’Souza, Chaitra Kambalemath, District Health Committee President Basavaraj Kotambari, Fairoz Ahmed Shirabadagi, Manjunath Kuduri, Dr. Kammar, and Ashok Dasara. Representatives from the Health Department, LK Konnoor and Basavaraj Kadakola, also participated and shared valuable information on health rights and community leadership.
Kabaddi Tournament
On 21/03/2026, on the occasion of Shri Sewalal Jayanti, a Kabaddi Tournament was organized at Gundur village in collaboration with Roshni, Yuva Sangam, and Progressive Organization. A total of 10 teams participated in the tournament. The event encouraged youth participation, teamwork, sportsmanship, and community involvement while promoting unity among young people.


Women’s Day Celebration
The Women’s Day celebration was organized in collaboration with Adarsh Taluk Women’s Union and Roshni Social Work Centre. More than one thousand women participated in uniform, showing unity and solidarity. Cultural programs were presented by various associations to create awareness about women’s issues and highlight the important role of women in society. The program was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Srinivas Mane, MLA of Hangal Taluk. Sister Anita D’Souza delivered the introductory address. The event was presided over by Ganga Gode Basannavar and attended by Sister Stella Saldana, Parimala Jain, and other distinguished guests.
