Antidrug Abuse Day in collaboration with Sneha Sadan trust

Shanthi Sandesha Trust, Roshni IRCA , organized Antidrug Abuse Day in collaboration with  Sneha Sadan trust, Byadagi, S.S.P.N High school , Byadgi, Haveri University, Health and Family Welfare Development Department, Police department Haveri and Agricultural Produce Market Committee (A.P.M.C ). Pledge was taken by all the participants. Rally and Street play was done. Awareness was created on Antidrug abuse and illicit trafficking. Prevention and treatment process was explained to them.

Distributing Educational Materials

Roshni Social Service Center organized a program of distributing educational materials. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Kumar and presided over by Sr Anita D’Souza, the director of Roshni Organization Sr Janet, the organization’s supervisor and Mr. Kaleem were present. A total of 20 children participated and received educational materials.

Sewing Training Center at Aladakatti

Roshani Social center Organization, Hanagal inaugurated a sewing training center at Aladakatti village. Sr  Anita D’Souza, Director of the organization, led the program. Participants included Rajeshwari Hanakanahalli, Kavitha Goudageri, Reshma Katannanavar from Adarsh Taluk Women’s Union, as well as Chandappa Katannanavar, Neelamma Savanoo from Senior Citizens Association, and campers from Hunsikatti Village Sewing Training Center at Aaladakatti Inam Dyamanakoppa.

Dr. BR Ambedkar’s Birth Anniversary

BR Ambedkar’s birth anniversary was celebrated on behalf of women’s self-help groups in Bidarakoppa village of Hanagal taluk. Sr Anita D’Souza, Director of Roshani Social Service Organization, inaugurated the program. Hirekanagi Gram Panchayat Chairperson Rekha Kattimani presided over the event. President of Adarsh Taluk Mahila Union Prema Kalera, along with youth, women, and villagers, were also present.

Digital certificates in Balambid village of Hanagalla Taluk

Through the Roshani Institute of Hanagal Taluk in Haveri District and the F.V.T.R.S Institute of Bengaluru, youths and women above 18 years of age who have discontinued their education after completing 10th standard are receiving various skill trainings and support for social and economic development. Currently, 12 youths have been trained and awarded digital certificates in Balambid village of Hanagalla Taluk. They were provided with 8 dollu, two pairs of tala, and a decorative uniform free of charge.

A social workers gathering (workshop) for the staff of Hubli Province was held at Roshni Social Action Centre. Sr. Mariyola D’Souza B.S. was the resource person. On March 11, this group had an outing to Vimal Resort, Gadag.
