Graduation Day In Child Care Centre

On 30/05/2025, Graduation Day was celebrated for children above the age of four at the Haveri Vatsalya Childcare Centre. Prizes and congratulatory letters were presented to the children, and feedback was collected from both children and parents. The program was attended by Sister Janeta and Mrs. Rekha, Superiors of Roshni Convent, a woman constable from Haveri Police Station, as well as parents, children, and staff.

Parents’ Capacity Building and Sensitization Program

On 22nd and 23rd May 2025, a Parents’ Capacity Building and Sensitization Program, along with a case review, was organized. The program was attended by 48 participants, including caregivers and parents. Resource persons included Mr. Dhananjay from APD, Mr. Murgan, Communication Technical APD, Sister Anitha, Director of Roshni Trust, and the Early Intervention staff. During the sessions, caregivers were educated on guidelines for handling and caring for children, informed about social security and government schemes, and made aware of the available benefits. Additionally, measurements were taken for 9 children in preparation for distributing aids and appliances.

Federation meeting

On 22/5/2025 The Adarsh Taluk Women’s Union was reconstituted through a meeting in which new office bearers were elected, including the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Canara Bank Loan Disbursement and Awareness Program.

On 22/5/2025 Haveri Canara Bank HOA, GM Pradeep Kumar, distributed loan disbursement cheques to women’s self-help groups and briefed them on the loan facilities offered by Canara Bank for self-employment. DM Anil Kumar, Agriculture Manager Manjya Nayak, and Roshni Trust Director Sister Anita D’Souza were also present at the program.

Computer Training Programme


On May 19th, 2025, the Computer Training Programme was launched at Roshni Trust (R). Sr. Anitha, the Director, inaugurated the programme and encouraged the participants to make use of this opportunity to enhance their digital skills and future prospects. 

Construction Workers day


On 01/05/2025, Construction Workers’ Day was held in Sanvasagi village. The program was organized under the auspices of the Roshni Trust and the NREGA Workers’ Union. Renuka Ajagundi, President of the Grama Panchayat, participated in the event. The meeting was attended by Janavedike leaders and VDC members.

Staff training


A staff training session on Finance Management was held for all Roshni Trust staff, led by Mr. Sendil Kumar. He focused on teaching effective family finance management, particularly emphasizing the importance of saving. The training provided practical tips on budgeting, managing expenses, and ensuring long-term financial stability for families.

Health Camp at Roshani Addiction Mukti Kendra


A free health camp was organized by Roshani Social Service Organization, in collaboration with Hanagal Arogya Raksha Samithi, Taluk Hospital Hanagal, and Father Mullers Medical College Hospital Mangalore. Held at Roshani Addiction Mukti Kendra, the camp offered check-ups for bone, joint, eye, and other common ailments. A total of 190 participants were treated, with 35 people undergoing eye surgery, 13 selected for bone and joint surgery, and many others receiving treatment for general health concerns. Sister Anita D’Souza, Director of Roshani Social Service Organization, oversaw the event, which was supported by dedicated staff and volunteers.
